J.P. Morgan Chase Bank and Citigroup
This is my rant about the two banks above. I saw a story on Fox News where a credit card company ran up this ladys’ interest rate and she did a video on YouTube and the company reduced her interest rate because she went public on them. This is my reason for speaking out against Chase and Citigroup.
According to CNN, they received 25 Billion Dollars. It was the largest amount given to any bank, with Citigroup and Wells Fargo also receiving the same amount.
To receive that much money from the taxpayers, and then for them to turn right around and run up their interest rates and up their payments so people can’t pay it, is just wrong. They are both getting tax payer money, and charging outrageous interest rates and upping payments to their customers, and they don’t care.
These business programs all say that these sharks will work with you, but they won’t. I find both of them repulsive in the way that they deal with their customers. I have been unemployed since last June, and they won’t work with me on my payments.
Anyone else have any problems with these banks? I thought that I heard Neil Cavuto say that they were contributors of Acorn, so I found this article about their Acorn ties. The more I look, the more I find.
“Continued identification with ACORN harms the company’s brand name and reputation, and carries special risks for this company, a recipient of taxpayer TARP funds,” he wrote. “The New York Times has identified you as President Obama’s `favorite banker.’”
Flaherty also points out that donations to the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) and its affiliates actually run counter to the bank’s own policy statements. Financial support is restricted from “programs designed to promote religious or political doctrines,” according to the JP Morgan Chase web site.
Here is an excerpt from Michelle Malkin about Acorn and Citigroup:
GOP California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger now wants an investigation. But neither the Terminator nor any other California public officials raised a peep when the very same San Diego ACORN office publicly announced a partnership with Citibank to secure home loans for illegal aliens. In 2005, Citibank and ACORN Housing Corporation – which has received tens of millions of tax dollars under the Bush administration alone — began recruiting Mexican illegal aliens for a lucrative program offering loans with below-market interest rates, down-payment assistance and no mortgage insurance requirements. Instead of Social Security numbers required of law-abiding citizens, the program allows illegal alien applicants to supply loosely-monitored tax identification numbers issued by the IRS.
Here is Michelle’s article about acorn, and illegal alien home loan racket.
